Children & Youth Christmas Party

Randolph Furey Post 170 Family hosted their annual Children & Youth Christmas Party at Metropolitan United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 16, 2018. The Christmas party included music by Emanual (DJ Black Knight) Lewis, Post 170 Legionaire and a Santa Claus for the children to share what they wanted to receive for Christmas and received photos taken with him.

Post 170 and Auxiliary Unit 170 members played games with the children and provided food and gifts for each of the children. The annual party hosted over 80 children and their parents and guardians. The Post Commander Allen McKenzie participated in raffled the Christmas gifts to the children.

Children & Youth Annual Book Bag Giveaway

Randolph Furey Post 170 Family sponsored their annual Book bag giveaway for military, veteran and community children on Sunday, August 26, 2018. The Post 170 and Auxiliary Unit 170 distributed 93 book bags and supplies to students in attendance.

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 170 Juniors made cards to be distributed to the Veterans in Charlotte Hall Veterans Home and overseas.

Book bags and school supplies were donated to 3 area local Elementary Schools: Gale Bailey Elementary, Indian Head Elementary & JC Parks Elementary.

The book bag giveaway was great way to encourage and support our community schools in our American Legion Family Four Pillars.
